As a result of this truth about God, in order for us to serve God faithfully as God expects us to, we indisputably need the Person of the Holy Spirit to enable us obey the commandments and ordinances of God. 1 Peter 1:16,“For it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
Holiness is beyond a state of mind or consciousness; holiness is a nature, a lifestyle. It means that we put on Jesus Christ and thereby become Christ conscious in all senses of the word. Holiness gives validation to our authentic relationship with God. Through sanctification we are made holy unto God through the redeeming Blood of Jesus Christ , and by the power of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light”.
Holiness is a mighty weapon for the Believers in Christ Jesus, especially in these end-times. 1 John 5:18, “We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them”. When we live holy lives before God and mankind, our prayers generate much power that causes dynamic changes in and through our lives.
